C-Square offers free weekend parking

C-Square is offering free weekend parking to help encourage more people to Nambour.

C-Square General Manager Tracy Martin said 2020 had been a tough year, especially in the arts and entertainment industry, but it was time to get out and support local entertainment businesses.

“We would really love to see more people in town on the weekend, enjoying a movie at Majestic Cinemas, taking the kids for a game at Planet Arcades and there are those awesome breakfasts at Endless Time,” Tracy said.

“If we can make it bit easier for families to visit by providing safe, convenient and free parking right at the door of these great local entertainment venues, then that will be great for Nambour.”

Tracy said everyone must feel safe when they go out and businesses were doing everything they could to create an experience that is both COVID-safe and fun.

“There are so many options in Nambour,” she said. “The new Stalwarts Brewing is just around the corner and very popular with the locals.”

Stalwarts Manager Adam Tomlinson is excited about the great changes and the plans to bring new events into Nambour in 2021.

Meanwhile, Reimagine Nambour Chairman Peter Boyce said the free parking was a terrific initiative for the town. “It will go a long way to revitalising the Nambour CBD and will support efforts to activate the town and support many local business,” Mr Boyce said. “There are some great plans for Nambour and the free parking at C-square will benefit many people.”

• Between Friday afternoon and 6am Monday visitors to the Mill Street C-Square car park no longer need a “Pay and Display” ticket.
